Bei Bei climbs up the mountain to select his own bamboo culm, which he drags back to the nursing bowl. He bites off a branch to eat on the ledge when he is interrupted by Mei for a quick biting session. Meanwhile, his bamboo has fallen to the ground but he eventually recovers it and brings it to the den entrance to munch on.
