Lending Helping Hands to Blind Cat

My boyfriend has a special relationship with our blind, 16-year-old cat who we adopted 6 months ago. During drinks and games at our house, our cat (Tilli) managed to climb up my boyfriend's back and onto his shoulders—something she's never done before. Once she was ready to get down, she realized she was stuck as she couldn't figure out the size, shape and potential drop from his shoulders. My partner very sweetly began trying to help her down as gently as possible, and as the cat began to flounder her paws about looking for a surface, my partner used his hands to help the cat back down.
